Rules

When creating a company, a series of rules are established and configured in MoonDesk that automatically review and check the contents in Adobe Illustrator documents. At the moment of saving, the Adobe Illustrator Extension of MoonDesk, will review each document with those rules at the moment of saving a new version or importing a file to avoid basic and totally predictable human errors.

Some of the examples could be that:

A red wine can NOT have the legend "White Wine" or "Vino Blanco"

The word MALBEC must be 3 millimetres high

Double spacing in the content

With the creation of a company, the system brings by default a series of rules that are considered to be important for the control of files in general, as in the case of controlling that there are no double spaces, looking for local links in the document, duplicates, for example. For a more advanced configuration it is necessary to contact MoonDesk's Customer Support.

Configuring the rules from the Web Application

To contribute to the control of files, Moondesk offers the possibility to configure rules that each company can define according to markets, products, mandatory phrases or expressions, regulations, internal requirements, etc.

The creation of rules is done at the moment of Company Configuration and is implemented between the company and the MoonDesk team.

Pre-established rules: All workspaces have some pre-established rules by default, which are common to them. These are listed below:

  • duplicate documents: the system checks whether there are documents with the same classifiers as the current document, considering them to be duplicates. In some workspaces this is not allowed so, if this rule fails, the file cannot be saved.

  • double spaces: it automatically checks if there are double spaces in the document as this is usually something important for the designers to check.

  • items overflowed: controls if there are elements where the text exceeds the size of the element.

  • local links: the system informs if the document is related to files on the local machine. This rule warns us that these files will not be available to other users accessing the file. This is controlled if the workspace does not have the image library enabled as the MoonDesk library automates this. To see how the library works click here.
