Sharing documents

Once the files are uploaded to the MoonDesk platform, you can share them in different formats, or download them to your computer. This can be done from the "Search" tab, or upon saving a new version.

Sharing documents in the Adobe Illustrator plugin:

  1. Looking for the document:

  • Go to the "Search" tab in the Adobe Illustrator plugin.

  • Look for the document that you wish to share.

  1. Selecting the document:

  • Check the box to the left of the document's thumbnail.

  1. Choosing the format:

  • Click on the "Share" icon.

  • Select the format in which you wish to share the document: Illustrator, outlines, PDF, JPG or PNG. You can also include their fonts and links.

  1. Sharing in MoonDesk web:

  • Click on MoonDesk web, and then on Share.

  • The different formats will be available for being sent from the web, which is useful for sharing files with people that have no access to the Illustrator plugin, such as print presses or commercial staff external to your company.

  1. Searching and Sharing in the web:

  • Access the web and look for the shared document.

  • This will already be available in the selected formats for it to be shared.

This search can be done either from the Search option, as well as upon saving saving a new version, where you can download your document and share it to the web at the same time.

Sharing documents from the Web App

  1. Accessing documents:

    • Access Documentos in the web app.

  2. Selecting documents:

    • Mark the documents that you wish to share by ticking the check box.

  3. Sharing the documents:

    • Click on Share.

  4. Sharing bar:

    • The "Share" bar will open up in the right side of the screen.

    • Visualize the selected documents, and choose the formats to share. If some of the formats is not available, please ask for it to the designer.

    • Click on Next.

  5. Filling out the "Send" form:

    • Input the receiving part's name or e-mail address, sending details, and attach any additional file (excel, pdf, word, etc).

    • Click on Next.

  6. Sending the files:

    • Your files will be shared, and the receiving part will get an e-mail with a download link.

  7. The e-mail will reach the recipient with a download link.

If you are sharing or downloading a document in draft status, the platform will warn you before moving forward.
