Users and roles
In MoonDesk, three types of users are defined, each one with their specific functions. Plus, within tasks, roles are assigned in order establish who is responsible in each step of the process. Next, the user types and tasks roles are detailed:
User types
Regular user:
Registered with username and password.
Functions:
Creating, archiving and editing their own tasks.
Creating and modifying documents using the Adobe Illustrator plugin.
Reviewing documents, commenting and requesting changes.
Downloading and sharing documents through links.
Making comparisons through Image Compare.
Accessing reportes.
Accessing the online support chat (subject to time zone availability).
Administrator user:
Registered with username and password.
Additional functions:
Editing other users' tasks.
Accessing the workspace's settings (inviting users, managing permissions and restrictions, creating reviewer groups, etc).
Guest user:
They access through an invitation link, and they do not need to register.
Limited functionality:
Reviewing documents, making comments and requesting changes.
Accessing support through e-mail.
Roles in tasks
In tasks' processes, roles are assigned in order to define each user's responsibilities:
Owner:
Overviews the task's general development.
Receives notifications about events related to the task.
Can visualize the documents and complete tasks.
Assignee:
Carries out the design work from the Adobe Illustrator plugin.
Receives notifications when a task (or its documents) is in design process.
Reviewer/s:
Approves and/or requests for changes in a task's documents.
Receives notifications when a task is in review process.
It can be a user who is either registered in MoonDesk or not.
This users and roles structure in MoonDesk makes tasks and documents management easier, clearly assigning responsibilities in each step of the process.
