Text Comparison

The Text Comparison tool in MoonDesk allows you to analyze the differences between the text content of two documents, highlighting modified, added or deleted words, phrases or blocks. It is ideal for verifying and controlling texts in a quick and easy way.

This functionality is available to all users until July the 1st. For more information, please check our rate plans in Moondesk.com.

You can access this functionality from:

1- Documents (documents preview): Click on the document in order to access its viewing. Once opened, at the bottom you will see the toolbar. Click the "Compare Text" button.

2- Reviewing (Viewer Toolbar): When reviewing a task, access the comparison tool directly from the reviewing interface.

Interface

The interface is designed to make comparing text contents easier. It consists of the following elements:

Selection

Directions for use

1- Upload Reference Document: Select the model you want to compare with. You can upload it from your computer (PDF format only), choose one stored in MoonDesk, use an older version, or upload the file that the task creator attached as a template.

Comparison with previous versions or with documents attached by the task creator will only appear if they are available.

2- Choose Comparison Mode: Select from Selection.

3- Manual Selection: Mark the paragraph to be compared. A pop-up will open showing the detected differences.

4- Comment Differences: Click on the comment icon to leave observations. They will appear in the right sidebar.

5- Marking Tools: Use graphic tools to highlight visual differences.

6- Approval or Rejection: Once the differences have been analyzed, you can approve or reject the document as appropriate.

Automatic Selection

Directions for use

1- Upload Reference Document: Select the model you want to compare with. You can upload it from your computer (PDF format only), choose one stored in MoonDesk, use an older version, or upload the file that the task creator attached as a template.

Comparison to previous versions or to documents attached by the task creator will only appear if they are available.

2- Choose Comparison Mode: Select Auto Selection.

3- Automatic Selection: The system automatically detects and highlights all changes in the document.

4- Comment Differences: Click on the comment icon to leave observations. They will appear in the right sidebar.

5- Marking Tools: Use graphic tools to highlight visual differences.
